The Hub is designed as a self-paced resource you can turn to when you need it. It does not include a discussion/community forum, email support, or 1:1 or group coaching from me. Instead, the included directories offer a trusted place to find book coaches, editors, and other professionals who can support you in a more individualized way.

Yes! Just keep in mind, information is based on U.S. systems and publishing practices. While you will definitely gain a good knowledge base, not everything will apply to those living outside the U.S.

The Hub is housed on Teachable. It is best accessed via your desktop browser. There is also an iOS and Android app with basic features.

For 2 years! This Hub is best suited for those who are ready and committed to making progress now. In my experience, “lifetime access” often delays action. When people feel they have forever, it’s easy to keep postponing the work. A two-year access window is intentional. It’s designed to encourage you to begin now, while still giving you plenty of time to thoughtfully work through and revisit all of the resources.

The Hub is designed as an archived collection of high-value materials from previous programs, with updates and new material limited by design. However, if any updates are made, they will be accessible to you during your 24-month access period. Creation dates for resources are provided where available. For example, many videos were filmed in 2023-2024. As these cannot be edited, you should use them as general guidance, while confirming more specific details as needed in your publishing journey.

The Hub has way more information, videos, and resources. Think of Catholic Business Buddy as more of a sampler platter to the full course meal.

Some updates have been made, and select articles from Catholic Business Buddy have been added, but the core content remains largely the same. If you’ve accessed my Teachable course before, this will feel like a blast from the past :)

Many people think self-publishing is free if you do it yourself, but that’s not the case. At a minimum, you’ll need a book editor. You may also need a cover designer, typesetter, and other publishing services depending on your skills. The Hub shows you the right way to do it, saving you money, avoiding mistakes, and steering clear of scams, but you’ll still need to invest in your book. Costs vary widely, from a few hundred dollars to $10k+, with a good average around $3,500.

The Hub teaches you how to manage the self-publishing process yourself. Instead of hiring a company to manage everything, you’ll learn the steps so you can manage this process, build your perfect team, and publish your book with full creative control.

The Hub provides recommendations for publishing platforms and technology you may need, including social media, email providers, websites, and formatting tools. While it gives guidance on what to use, detailed step-by-step instructions or video walkthroughs for setting up accounts (e.g., Instagram) or uploading books (e.g., Amazon KDP) will require a bit of additional research on your part.

The Hub offers a wide range of resources applicable to many different types of books. It’s not focused on any single genre, though there are some extra resources specifically for children’s books.

The Hub focuses on the business and logistics of self-publishing, as opposed to the craft of writing. It’s not a substitute for formal writing instruction, but it does include helpful lessons on outlining, self-editing, and style guide options.
